The other day the cardiology fellows and I got bored so they threw me in the MRI machine. About an hour later this was the result. Yes that is my heart beating, in all it’s 3D glory. This type of imaging is an incredibly powerful technique employed at large hospitals to look at cardiac structure and function. Click on the picture to see the video. Wild stuff!
